SECOND YEAR WORK

The first project of second year studies; carve a non-denominational chapel out of a mountain.

Charcoal Rendering of work by Tadao Ando

Tucson House by Rick Joy. The project was to work in groups to research and study an architect and then try to emulate their work. My group mates did research and drawings while I took care of model construction.

For the second part of the case study project, we diverged from our groups and were given a theoretical plot to erect a house for a conservationist couple living beside a lake outside of Manhattan, KS.

A pavilion for the public to come and go to. Available to be rented out for special events as well as host concerts and lectures.

In conjunction with a class trip to Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, studios were given the task of designing a public library in the midst of the affluent suburbs of Dallas. Each student was assigned a 'type' of architecture; I received 'unit type' and laid out the space in 10'x10' square structure/units loosely based off of the Stanstead Airport in England.
